Computer Upgrade King introduced its desktop PC brand, Empowered PC, in 2020, marking a strategic shift from its previous focus on the retail of upgraded name brand computers. Founded by Anna Hsu and Robert Robinson in 2008, Computer Upgrade King, LLC emerged as a pioneering force in the computer hardware upgrade value-added reseller sector, originating from the confines of their Chesterfield, VA home attic.

In 2020, Empowered PC unveiled three highly sought-after gaming desktop models: the Continuum and Stratos Micro, and the Stratos Mini. These compact yet robust gaming systems were meticulously conceptualized and engineered by Empowered PC, catering to the discerning needs of gamers from inception to large-scale production.

In 2021, Empowered PC expanded its portfolio with the introduction of the Mantis gaming desktop and the Sentinel gaming and professional workstation desktop. Diverging from the smaller form factors of its earlier releases, these full-sized ATX desktops exude sophistication, featuring sleek designs characterized by brushed aluminum front panels accented with a silver diamond-cut edge.

In 2023, Empowered PC debuted its flagship gaming desktop, the Panorama, alongside its Envision line of business productivity desktops. Complementing the existing lineup, which includes the full-sized ATX Sentinel workstation tower desktop, Empowered PC introduced the 1-liter Envision M1 desktop, the 13-liter Envision S13 small form factor desktop, and the 27-inch All-in-One Envision 27 desktop, encompassing a comprehensive array of workstation form factors. Engineered for optimal performance within a compact footprint, these desktops offer unparalleled versatility at a competitive price point.

Noteworthy is the Envision M1's remarkable 1-liter size, and the Envision 27's status as an All-in-One desktop, both capable of accommodating a 65W powered processor. This stands in stark contrast to offerings from major OEMs, which typically feature underpowered 35W processors, resulting in inferior computing performance and diminished value proposition. Similarly, the Envision S13, despite its slim 13-liter form factor, boasts a 150W powered processor and support for four RAM DIMMs. This contrasts sharply with SFF desktops from major OEMs, constrained by their reliance on 65W cooling systems, unable to match the cooling efficiency of the S13 due to design limitations that compromise airflow.
